Tom Haggerty, CFA®

Chief Investment Officer, Partner

Tom brings over two decades of financial services experience as a founding partner of Parable. Prior to starting Parable, he served as Portfolio Manager at a locally owned Jacksonville independent Investment Advisory firm. Prior to that, Tom worked as an equity research analyst with Susquehanna International Group in New York.

Tom believes in a personalized and holistic approach to wealth management.  While his primary background is in investments, he has realized the value of incorporating all facets of a client’s financial situation to best position them for long-term success.   

Tom is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA Society Jacksonville. He is an active member in the community, sitting on the advisory board for both the Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida chapter and the Friends of Atlantic Beach Elementary charity. Out of the office, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and two children in Jacksonville Beach.

John R. Ginn, JD

Chief Executive Officer, Partner

John R. Ginn serves as a private wealth management advisor to high-net-worth individuals, their families, and their businesses. John is a true local with his family having lived in the area for five generations.

John was first introduced to investing by his grandfather at a young age where they would frequently watch stock prices scroll across the tv screen and discuss his grandfather’s investments, building a fundamental understanding of investing at a young age. From there, John obtained a law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University. While in law school, John also attended the London School of Economics where he studied Managerial Accounting and Financial Control.

After formal education, John eventually co-founded the law firm Ginn & Patrou PA, which focuses its practice in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, and real estate. After five years in private practice for Ginn & Patrou PA, John continued to pursue his zeal for investing and co-founded the affiliated Registered Investment Advisory firm (RIA) Parable Wealth Advisors. As an investment professional, John strives to be a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to him by his clients and their families.

Stephen Kyle, CFP®, RICP®

Chief Compliance Officer, Financial Advisor

Stephen is a Financial Advisor and the Chief Compliance Officer of Parable Wealth Advisors. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL practitioner (CFP®) since 2015 and is also a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®). He serves individuals, families, and small businesses in the Northeast Florida area and throughout the United States.

Stephen seeks to serve clients by treating them like they are family and recommending what is in their best interest. His areas of focus include investment management, retirement and cash flow planning, tax and estate planning, and insurance needs analysis. His prior experience includes leading for several years as a financial planner and advisor at an independent registered investment advisory firm where he was responsible for managing over $50 million in assets for clients. He began his career in the financial services industry as an insurance agent specializing in property and casualty, life, health, and disability insurance.

Stephen is a Florida native and lives in the Saint Augustine area with his family. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree from Florida State University. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching sports, listening to music, and serving others in his church and the community at large. He is passionate about teaching others healthy financial habits.

Scott M. Patrou, Esq.

Principal

Born into a military family, Scott has lived all over the country. After settling into Saint Augustine Scott attended Flagler College, where he completed his undergraduate studies in Business Administration, Spanish, and Pre-Law. After graduating from Flagler College, he accepted a scholarship to Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL, where he attained his Juris Doctorate.

After graduating from law school, Scott was accepted into the Florida Bar and the Middle District of Florida. He uses his passion for the law and utmost ethical standards to ensure the best possible results for his clients.

Scott is currently an active member of the Florida Bar and the St. Johns County Bar Association.

Jonathan Hermes, Esq., B.C.S.

Board Certified Estate Attorney, Advisor

Attorney Jonathan Hermes is licensed in Florida and Wisconsin, and is recognized as a Board Certified Specialist in Wills, Trusts, and Estates law by the Florida Bar (a certification attained by less than 1% of Florida-licensed attorneys).

At our affiliated law firm, Ginn & Patrou, PLLC, Jonathan focuses his practice on estate planning, tax issues, real estate, business law, and elder law. His primary focus is assisting high net worth families with estate and succession planning, wealth transfer tax, and asset protection. Jonathan also frequently acts as co-counsel to other attorneys on advanced tax and estate planning concepts.

Raised in rural Wisconsin, Jonathan moved to Saint Augustine to attend Flagler College, where he graduated with honors with a B.A. in Political Science. Jonathan then accepted a full scholarship to study at Wake Forest University School of Law, obtaining both his Juris Doctor and a Master of Studies of Law with a concentration in tax law. Jonathan also serves on the Florida Probate Rules Committee, which develops and recommends probate rule amendments to the Florida Supreme Court.

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys playing guitar, hiking, watersports, assistant coaching Little League, and spending time with his wife and five children.
